An unlawful turn led to the arrest of an 18-year-old Spokane County man on a felony drug charge Tuesday night, said Spokane County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Sgt. Dave Reagan.

Deputy Andrew Stockman was in the area of Trent Avenue and Argonne Road about 9:45 p.m. when he spotted the driver of a car make an improper turn into the parking lot of a grocery store. He stopped the vehicle and identified its driver as Larry Wayne Talley, 8412 E. Lacrosse Ave.

The deputy determined that the driver’s license was suspended and arrested him for the traffic misdemeanor. He also determined that Talley had an outstanding felony arrest warrant issued in Kootenai County for failing to appear on a dangerous drug charge. Stockman arrested Talley for being a fugitive from justice.

In a subsequent search of the car, the deputy discovered a plastic sack on the floor. The sack contained 71 pills determined to be Ecstasy. Next to the sack of pills was a wad of currency that totaled $838.

Talley was booked on the felony fugitive charge and a felony count of possession of Ecstasy with intent to deliver. A misdemeanor count of third degree driving while license suspended is pending.
